DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations leader to oversee daily production activities, optimize processes, and drive strategic initiatives for our client. This role requires a proven ability to lead large cross-functional teams, implement continuous improvement practices, and ensure operational excellence. Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, with the ability to implement continuous improvement practices effectively. Greater St Louis Area.
Salary Range: $125,000-150,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Strategic Execution:
Lead daily operations across production, scheduling, quality, and inventory, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives within a manufacturing environment.
* Team Leadership:
Inspire, develop, and manage a high-performance team across multiple operational departments; foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
* Process Optimization:
Identify and implement process improvements to maximize productivity, reduce waste, and increase throughput while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and HR to ensure alignment across departments and seamless customer delivery.
* KPI Management:
Monitor and report on key operational metrics; drive performance using data-informed decisions and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
* Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements (OSHA, ISO, etc.) and uphold the highest safety standards.

Qualifications and Requirements
* Education:
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
* Experience:
7+ years of senior-level operations leadership in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

* Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
* Ability to lift, pull, push, or carry lightweight materials (5-10 lbs) as needed.
